I fucking loved this movie. I know it’s not really feminist in anyway because it was girl on girl hate but it was only out of jealousy for her bestfriend. While this movie makes some women appear stupid it also makes some appear very smart. Melissa McCarthy was the most feminist character in the movie, and she was badass. Bridesmaids did do a number of things for the population. Men realized “HUH WOMEN CAN DO FUNNY” and that a nearly all woman comedy can sell millions (opening the door for other women in comedy.) It’s a light funny movie and to be honest most of it is not too far from what women really are (or so I’ve seen I have a very similar relationship with my friend and other friends alike.)
