Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise and Reproductive Abuse

Now that Katie Holmes has filed for divorce from Tom Cruise, do you think this will shed light on reproductive control and abuse? Years of speculation from his previous relationships and whispers in Hollywood have always leaned towards the idea that Tom was and is a reproductive, emotional and cult like abuser. I am proud of Katie for being so incredibly smart and filing in New York versus California. She has filed for sole custody, as well as she thinks the church would try to kidnap Suri. I think she could help a lot of young woman who were reproductively controlled, and abused if she does decide to spill all about Tom, their relationship, and the Church of Scientology.

What do you readers think?

For the most part, these are kind of wrong. Unless you’re going to an amusement park that is super close and not a “corporate” type such Six Flags, Dorney, or Hershey Park.  A set of Salon Highlights usually run $70-100. I’m sorry where can I get two weeks of groceries for my family for $70-100? Breast Implants are like $4000-10,000 depending on where you live, which you get, etc. That $4000 pays for one an a half semesters at my community college. A year of college tuition? Are you kidding me? The cheapest piece of shit bras you can buy are $10 at Target, to rent a canoe costs $30.
If I want to buy lipstick, please tell me how I’m not loving my body? I look awesome with or without lipstick, but if I want lilac colored lips I still love my body. I already have rockin’ tits, but you know what? I really do want ass implants, I’ve considered it. That doesn’t mean I don’t love my body! I hate these specific types of “love your body” propaganda.  I love the look of acrylic nails, there is a lot more space to put awesome designs on and I like the oval looks. Just because I don’t keep my body “natural” i.e. without hair dye, make up, nails, etc. does not mean I don’t love it. I DO LOVE IT, I LOVE MYSELF. I just like the way that these look MORE. I’m only enhancing my body.
This image is a piece of crap, femininity isn’t anti-feminist!
This might just be me, but can everyone stop policing what means I love myself and what doesn’t?
This image just sat wrong with me, the intent is to get people to love themselves but seriously…

Okay so, this guy is a Tumblr Love Guru or some shit to flocks of people who think he’s the Jesus of relationships. Last week he equated being a homosexual to committing murder. Yeah…. his blog is called Stay Positive… And he’s a slut shaming, typical gender role standards enabling piece of shit.  ”Smart girls are the insecure ones” just lurk his tumblr and die of laughter.
Check out staypozitive.tumblr.com and prepare for the LOL’s.

Anonymous asked: I was excited to find your blog, but I'm sorely disappointed by what I have seen on here. You're doing social justice right in some ways, but you stil have a long, long way to go. This is what you need to do: 1. Read up on all forms of privilege. 2. Start following racismschool and read all the links at the top. 3. Read 'not your mom's trans 101' 4. Start adressing your ableism - in particular 'dumb'. I hope you'll take this into account, social justice is about constant learning.

I’m confused how I’m an ableist though? Because I said the word “dumb” …. I really think you’re stretching it with that one. I am not an ableist, I called myself dumb for making a mistake. I don’t know why you think I don’t know what privilege is, I’ve been schooled. I am very sorry that in my head when I wrote Tom Gabel that I wrote “himself”, I almost instantaneously caught it. Sometimes people do indeed make mistakes, but to say I’m uninformed about racism, transphobia, privilege and ableism is off the mark. I’m all about continually learning but you’re way off.

Anonymous asked: You have talked before about racism in the media. I was wondering if you happen to be a fan of Florence & The Machine? I am kind of a fan but recently i found the video to their song "No Light No Light" and while watching it i couldn't really decide for myself if it was just blatantly racist or trying to be absurd and send a message about racism. Honestly it is hard for me to see it under the light of the later. I was wondering if you could shed some light on this?

I really don’t ever watch music videos, except if I want to hear a song on YouTube. I had read that Florence had used black face, and then there are photos of her roaming around in a war bonnet while she’s been drinking (not in the video.) So I know these acts are racist and very inappropriate, but she is also a famous privileged white girl. I highly doubt she actually knows she’s being offensive and racist (I didn’t know they were offensive until I actually started learning about white privilege, and got a tumblr a few years ago.) Not that that is an excuse but she probably doesn’t understand what she’s doing is wrong. I think someone needs to wake her up and set her straight. The obvious way she makes voodoo look primitive is really disrespectful and there is no excuse for that. Many musicians don’t come up with the concept for their videos, I feel like the director and concept creator might be mostly to blame, but like I said earlier, it’s no excuse. I think she’s just uninformed to be honest, but that’s just my opinion.

hot-alphabet-soup asked: (cont.) What if that man had a wife? What if she was shamed by her friends, etc.? I definitely believe that the man should be ashamed and punished for what he had done, but to have people hurt his family -- who did absolutely nothing wrong -- due to his disgusting actions, is wrong. It's always better to be safe than sorry. If HONY could repost the woman's message with only a picture of her face or the man cropped out of the picture, that would be an excellent solution.

No. Not acceptable. As I stated this man should have thought about all of these things before he harassed this women. What’s the difference between HONY posting this photo and when there is the list of arrests in the paper or online? None. That man agreed to have his photo taken and shouldn’t have done what he did. He does not deserve protection and he’s a selfish prick. Should we protect the family member’s of the men on To Catch A Predator? They haven’t physically done anything yet, but they’ve propositioned children for sex, should we protect them too? No. Essentially these are the same situations. Men propositioning those unwilling or unable to give consent.
